

EDUCATION & TRAINING
The Education Department of Medic Ambulance strives to provide up-to-date content for Continuing Education. We reinforce that continuing education plays an important role with the delivery of quality patient care. We encourage and accommodate employees in their efforts to upgrade their knowledge and skills. Our training program exceeds the recertification requirements not only of the State of California, Counties of Solano and Sacramento, but also the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians requirements for recertification. Our Education Coordinator, Perry Hookey, MICP is a participating member and supporting sponsor in the following national programs:
Our classes accommodate all shift schedules, and are designed to allow participants the ease of convenient registration for employees of Medic Ambulance via e-Services. Scheduled In-House classes are held on a monthly basis – with no cancellation of classes. Outside classes require a minimum number in order for classes to be held at off-site locations.

PUBLIC EDUCATION
In addition to providing life-saving medical care, Medic Ambulance has become a trusted community partner for community education. Each year, Medic Ambulance participates in multiple events with the intent to inform and educate the public about emergency medical services. Our community education initiatives are focused on out-of-hospital care, health promotion and injury prevention.

School Ambulance Demo
Each year Medic Ambulance visits area schools to teach students about ambulances, paramedic’s and EMT’s-‘what we do,’ as well as about our dispatchers. For information on our School Ambulance Demo program, please contact the education department coordinator at (707)-644-1761, ext 112
